Grand Master JungHo Lee is the Head Master at Lee Brothers Tae Kwon Do Academy in Raleigh. Tae Kwon Do is not only a way of life for him; it is also a family tradition. Master Lee is the youngest of the World Renown Six Lee Brothers teaching Tae Kwon Do in America. Lee Brothers are famous in the Taekwondo community throughout the world and are affectionately called “The Planet’s Largest Family of Masters”.
Master Lee teaches with warmth and confidence exuding a tender sternness when necessary. His students have the utmost respect for him as a teacher and a person. He never waivers from his calm demeanor and is always willing to help whenever he is asked.
He is a gentle, kind man with a strong sense of self. Master Lee is a positive role model for people in a society where it seems there is so much negativity. He is the epitome of the wise martial artist whose students continually seek guidance and assurance
Master Lee has received countless certifications and titles, along with extensive experience. He is a Certified Tactical Master Instructor of CDT. Master Lee has countless championship titles and recognition, and in 1992, he was the USTU National Taekwondo Championship Gold Medalist. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University and served many years as a faculty member of the PE department at the prestigious Duke University in Durham, NC. Master Lee is a recipient of the Humanitarian Award, multiple Instructor of the Year and Academy of the Year, and multiple recipients of Citations and Commendations from Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo headquarters in Korea), World Taekwondo Federation, and other various international organizations.
In 2026, Master Lee was honored with the prestigious Laurel Wreath Award by North Carolina Governor Josh Stein for his outstanding contributions to athletics in the state. Previously, in 2002, he was awarded the National Martial Arts Day Proclamation by then-Governor Mike Easley.
